Acting
Michele is appearing in a recurring role as  hard-edged military wife Cynthia Burdett on the CBS series, The Unit.

Michele recently appeared in the multi-media operetta Charlotte: Life or Theatre? at the Met Theatre in Los Angeles. The tragic but uplifting story of young German painter Charlotte Solomon combined music, prose and paintings to detail the triumph of art and hope over the despair  and violence of Nazism in WW2.

Writing
The paperback of Chasing The Jaguar was released in April of 2008 on the Harper Collins/Rayo imprint. Look for it in stores and online.

Michele's new young adult novel, Sister Wife, will be released by Simon and Schuster in 2010.

Michele is currently working on the next book in the Martika Gálvez series, Night of the Jaguar. It delves into the dramatic history of the wealthy landowning Mexicans or Californios who founded the city of Los Angeles and the ghost of a troubled young woman that haunts Griffith Park.

Workshops/School Visits/Conferences
Michele completed a successful youth writing workshop at El Centro Del Pueblo in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles. El Centro serves at risk youth by providing athletics, tutoring and other programs to help kids stay off the streets and start building a brighter future. Michele's workshop culminated with the Young Writers Workshop LIteray Journal, a collection of writing by the young participants. The downlaod will be available soon, check back to read the work of these talented young writers in the first installment of the Voices of The City Project.

Michele will be starting a new workshop at San Gabriel HIgh School in the spring of 2009. This site will publish Voices of The City which will contain the work of young writers at all of Michele's workshops, giving them a chance to have their work read and thier voices heard!

Michele was the keynote speaker at the California Writing Project annual meeting as part of the CATE (California Association of Teachers of Engish) Conference.

Music
Michele's new Americana band, Johnny Cat, is putting together its first CD , My Father's Daughter and will be out gigging later this year. Check back for club dates!

Michele and bassist/vocalist.songwriter Bill Cinque have launched Five Steps Ahead Music, a publishing company designed to help get music by indie artists placed in TV and film.

The upcoming documentary, Border Echoes, features Michele’s song Ciudad Juarez. Look for it in festivals around the country and on PBS.
